Well,
it’s less than two weeks and then our studio session will begin. HAHAAAAAAAAHAAHA.
It’s really nice and we’ve really been waiting forward to this. The songs are pretty much complete and this time we have so much material that we can really select, which songs will be on the album – and the rest will be b-sides for the singles. I’m starting to feel quite psychotic. I’ve been waiting for this for so long. From now on time will fly and then it’s going to be spring, the first single is released and in the summer there are festivals. I think that a few festival gigs have already been booked but more about that later on. We’ll start the studio boogie 10.1.2007 and then there will be more information

Soon the basic drums for the fourth song will be figured out and then we’ll record them. At the moment it seems that we’d get maybe seven songs quite ready here. That’s nice.
Next the string section should start with songs „Vapauta“ and „Heavylaulu“. It’s going to be great. We’re also shooting a video diary here in the studio so at some point you can see on our homepage what stupid things we’ve done here.

Hi!
For now it’s the last studio day here in Hollola. We finished drums for six songs and we have guitars and bass for three of them. For the three other songs we’ll start now a monstrous guitar session, which involves going to sauna, playing guitar totally naked, refreshments, shouting, cursing, going to sauna and even more nakedness when playing. It may sound good but it doesn’t look good. Yes, and those six songs are called (at least at the moment) Kiveen (To the stone), Paha sisällä (Evil inside), Se ei lähde pois (It doesn’t go away), Myrkky (Poison), Älä jää (Don’t stay) and Vapauta meidät (Set us free). Well, back to the chamber!

Hi!
Wellwell… we’ve returned home and had a little break after the studiosession. The mood is still great and there’s absolutely no way to be able to wait for the following session which starts in a couple of weeks. The songs were recorded painlessly except for sore muskels and a few bruises for the drummer, but what’s the most important thing is that the songs are so good that we’re surprised ourselves. This is a work overloaded with feeling… the aforementioned slow-songs are not going to be the one and only on the record, but one will find its way to the record for sure. We’re still mainly staying with straight heavyrock… YEAH! It’s great to recognise how our band has again developed on all stages. This is how we continue … YES THE REACORD IS GOING TO BE GREAT!!!!

There were few questions that caught my eye.
About the studio sessions, them being easy or hard..
In my opinion these sessions have been MUCH more pleasant ja unstressful than for example those ones with Kehä, when we were touring at the same time and we weren’t able to concentrate properly in anything. Songs been bursting out easier at least when it comes to me and the feeling has been great as hell since the beginning.
We are going to try to perform one or two new songs in Sappee but it still depends on few matters.

Hahaaaa.
Next week were on again. Monday and Tuesday there’s some demoing and on Wednesday we’re going back to Petrax (the studio). Hopefully we manage to do all bases for the songs during that session. After that there’s going to be vocals, strings and so on in Tampere… And then, little by little, it’ll be ready. Especially for the single release of the spring. 🙂
Anyway… The songs have probably been written and we’re quite sure about the ones that are going to end up on record. The feeling is still growing. I think that the songs works well and I can’t wait to go and do some more. And summer is already heating up, so we could go and play the songs for real. Those couple gigs in the middle will bring some comfort.
Wish it was a summer already.

Next week in studio as Teemu alredy told. The feeling is high and I guess you can easily hear it on the new album. The songs really are working and making them has been specially rewarding and some way quite easy. Let’s hope that within these sessions the song bases are going to be finished and we get the songs ready and wrapped.
Teemu is really talking for the whole band when he’s telling that we miss gigs… it’s going to be awesome to perform new songs to you! Well… In May it’ll be single releasing (at least it looks like that for now) and then it’s summer and festivals. And then in the fall there’ll be tour with the new record! COOL!
In waiting… Teemu, don’t forget to jog… Adios fat ass!

Hi!
The drum monkey has done his work for this album! Great feeling and we have so great songs that I just can’t understand it…
Teemu is just doing the bass and Pasi played guitars earlier. So this day is string group’s work (string group can also be translated „tongue group“ ). I’m just enjoing the great songs. From here we will move tomorrow to Tampere to our „homestudio“ and continue working there… so more guitar, bass, synthesizer, percussions and that kind of stuff and probably singing will start soon too!!
We will finish the album first and then think about singles and videos. ROKROK!!!

Hello there.
Now we really are going to be on final straight. Tomorrow I’m gonna draw couple of bass lines and then my tasks are over. Little parts of the guitar are still missing + background (I guess he means that… ) and singing and after that it’s wrapped. The feeling is so great that I got pee in my pants 24/7.
All in all the session was quite easy and carefree. Anselmi (Antti) did the drums in that time and mood that it was no laughing matter. After that the string section flipped the bases and then we’ve been playing with feeling all kinds of nice hooks and stuff to songs. Just waiting the release now. But time will fly, summer festivals and then the album will be in stores.
This is going to be cracking.

Well well.
Hi, and first of all i want to apologise the fact that we havent been writing to the english topic at all. But here we go. The recordings are now in a state that almost all the quitars are done. Basses and drums were finished about a week ago. Jussi is going to start singing next wednesday i think. It seems that there are going to be twelwe songs on the album. The last one is called „aika mustaa muistot“ (time blackens the memories?) which is an accoustic, and quite a sad song, surprisingly. We are feeling great and confident indeed whit the new material and we are really anxious to show it to you guys. Your patience will be rewarded.
Hope we see you guys next summer at the festivals. We are going to start touring in june with our new single and then on with the album release at fall.
This is going to be fantastic.

Just quickly the answers to those questions…
We mainly use the same instruments as we also do on our shows. If needed, we also add something to those. In the studio we the sounds are retrieved song-by-song and then we do of course need different guitars, snaredrums, cymbals, basses and stuff like that. But yeah our showinstruments are already so super-expensive and good that it doesn’t really depend on that… mostly we need lots of different sounding instruments.
There are going to be 2-3 ballads … what counts as a ballad?!
We’re now doing this record and then we’ll see where to go from there. Contract-matters will be discussed when the time is right for it.
The main part of the songs are as always Jussi’s or Teemu’s, but more than before the guitarists have also taken part in the composing.
As far as I now there are no cooperative lyrics as that … 1-2 at the highest. Our lyricists can correct me if I’m wrong.
The new one is more like Kehä, if I must make a choice… from my point of view the record doesn’t really remind of either of the earlier reconds, it’s its own entity!
A videodiary from the studio is not in our hands! […]
Usually we’re all in the studio together, at least in the beginning when we follow and comment on the work on the songs. At a later point there’s time for the vocal recordings and then the machines (?) and the strings and stuff like that, because then the songs are finished in their bases and structures, and it’s not necessary for all to be there – or it can even be disturbing.
It’s not worth to put so much emphasis on the song’s names so far because they are still working titles and might still change…

A little time has passed again and all the time that belongs to the summer is soon coming home.
We’re now at a point were the mixing has started and the songs are still being finished. The first four songs are mixed and they sound good. The songs have the following names: (the) Evil Inside, To the Stone, Bulletrain and Poison [Paha Sisällä, Kiveen, Luotisade & Myrkky].

Well!
Time has run on yet again. The level is at a state which we’re just waiting and the songs have been given to the mixer’s and producer’s good considering. However at the same time we’re still recording some songs and some little things that still come to our minds, but the greater part of the songs is now finished. After that we’re going to have to think about which song is going to be chosen as a single.
We’ve done a lot of new pictures out of which you’re going to see a few soon. More pictures will be taken next week.
We’ve given a lot of thought to the design and cover picture of the record and some decisions have been made already. Now we’re waiting for the gentlemen photographer’s and graphic designer’s first visions…
What an exciting time!!

Hello folks!
Just like somebody already said, the new promo- and cover-pictures for the album are done ow and they turned out great! The shootings for it took place cosily outside … who cares about the frozen toes in freezing cold water of some old pool … hrr! Nothing more to say about that. Teemu has already advertised the new single. Even though it’s a so called „party song“ I can say that it’s still going to be a very „sturdy“ song, but still, concerning the atmosphere, a bit ‚happier‘ than the other material. At summertime you don’t want to impose depressive songs on people … heh! In fall we’re can go for those deep, dark waters that Teemu already mentioned.
